Sales Associates

Zephyr is currently seeking seasoned sales professionals to join our growing team. Positions available in both the US and Europe. We are looking for self starters who are comfortable with both technology and the investment industry, and who want to be part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial corporate environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prospect and develop new potential customers via all channels (phone, email, web demos, and face-to-face meetings).
• Manage sales pipeline.
• Stay current with multiple product lines and general industry trends and their application to our various customer segments.
• Lead focused product demonstrations to effectively communicate our value proposition to investment firms of all types.
• Work closely with our client support team to service and upsell existing accounts.

Senior Web Developer

Zephyr is seeking a Senior Web Developer to contribute to an enterprise investment analytics and reporting web service. This is an ideal time to join the team as we embark on the next phase of our web service offerings. You will have the opportunity to take an integral roll in the definition, implementation, and the success of the product.

You should have a proven track record in the complete development lifecycle of one or more production web services. You should be creative, enjoy trying and discussing new technologies, but are also pragmatic when it comes to production code. You should have a passion for developing high quality, reliable, and maintainable code.

Our implementation platform is ASP.NET, and thus we prefer developers with C# and ASP.NET experience. We will consider candidates with expertise on other platforms such as C++, Java/J2EE, and Python if the ability to learn new technologies has been shown.

Responsibilities:

• Have contributed to one or more scalable commercial web services from definition to delivery.
• Experience with ASP.NET and C#, or a willingness to transfer to ASP.NET from similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of core network technologies such as HTTP and TCP/IP.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Practical experience with one or more source control systems such as Perforce, CVS, or Subversion.

Client Support Consultant

Zephyr Associates, Inc. is seeking a Client Support Consultant to work at its Lake Tahoe headquarters. The Client Support Consultant assists Zephyr’s extensive client base in using, customizing, installing, and maintaining Zephyr’s suite of Style, Risk and Performance Analysis software.

The Client Support Consultant will be one of the primary technical support contacts for our user base. Users include DB and DC retirement plan sponsors, money managers, consultants, advisors, and broker / dealers. Responsibilities are shared with other team members and may include discussing and explaining returns-based style analysis (RBSA), Mean Variance Optimization (MVO), Black – Litterman, Monte Carlo, and financial statistics, use of software features, maintaining custom and Zephyr supplied databases, and linking Zephyr products with Microsoft Office products. Technical responsibilities may include assistance with local, network, SQL and Citrix installations.

Successful candidates in the past have come from a strong computing, analytical and modeling background with limited financial knowledge or from a strong practical or educational financial background with limited knowledge of computing systems and networks.

Bilingual a plus, Spanish preferred.
