Importing Data
How do I import returns for a manager/index?
You can input returns directly into StyleADVISOR or import them from Excel.
Click here for instructions on entering returns one series at a time directly into StyleADVISOR. This link shows Section 8.4 of the StyleADVISOR manual. To download the entire manual, go to the link at the bottom of this page. Please note that the 'Link to: Excel" option only works with older versions of Excel and is generally not of use.
Up to 255 return series at once can be input directly from Excel into StyleADVISOR. You must have an add-in, the Zephyr Return File Creator, available and data must be arranged in a specific way. Click here for instructions on importing data from Excel. This is Section 8.5 of the StyleADVISOR manual. To download the entire manual, go to the link at the bottom of this page.
When I import from excel, how should I format the returns?
We recommend having the data show "1.23 percent" as 1.23% or 0.0123. The Zephyr Return File Creator will always correctly interpret data in these formats.
I got a new computer. Where did my Create Zephyr Return Files go?
The Zephyr Return File Creator is still in your \style directory. However, Excel needs to be directed to the add-in. In Excel, click on Tools/Add-Ins/Browse. Then, browse to your \style directory and select za_data.xla.
