The Advanced Parameters tab in the Edit Analysis Parameters dialog allows the user to set a number of parameters that modify the way the calculations are made.
This is related to adjusting the Market Benchmark for beta as described here. When the option is selected, which is the default, the true beta of the respective manager vs. the Market Benchmark is used for the adjustment. If the option is unselected, the true beta of the manager vs. the benchmark is used only if it is between 0.0 and 1.0, including 0.0 and 1.0. If it is less than 0.0, 0.0 is used instead. If it is greater than 1.0, 1.0 is used instead.
